Music Ranking

So much of the music I have listened to has insane production, multiple instruments, and fancy sound modifications. This album is largely just Tori’s voice and piano. Of course there are other instruments, but the voice and piano are really prominently featured. It feel simple and helps her share her feminist message. I loved in SIlent All these years she sang, “"boy, you better pray that I bleed real soon" it just feels like such a great way to describe the emotion a woman may feel when a long-term relationship breaks down, expressed in a way so much more visceral and authentic than just saying I want to break up.
