I really liked this one. All the songs seemed very similar but good nonetheless. To me the lyrics kind of felt pseudo-deep and pretentious but still very enjoyable. The lyrics were very gravelly and emotional in a very pleasant way with really great playing.

I feel that the socially charged themes and powerful music make this album a perfect snapshot of ’90s grunge. However, some songs have unintelligible lyrics, which may also be characteristic of the genre, but they sometimes take me out of the moment, especially in contrast to songs like “Even Flow” and “Jeremy.” At the time of its release, I feel like “Jeremy” was a really unique view on childhood, school culture, and violence. Now in the mid 2020s school gun violence is a part of American culture and violence in general is escalating in Canadian schools as well. I think the lyrics to Evenflow are beautifully poetic. I find the visuals it evokes to be really powerful and can move me to tears. I would also like to note that I think every song on that album is great, with those few (Evenflow, Jeremy, Black, Ocean) standing out a little bit.
